The things you do for classes! I, for some reason even I cannot explain, always said I would never join Twitter But here I am, tweeting. Hmm...
I chose to follow iteachhistory and mrgranito because they both tweet about their teaching experiences and also about things that they have learned or used while teaching.
The blogs.
This one was a little harder, and then I discovered the recommendations button. I found some amazing blogs, that I really feel will help me as I prepare and then begin to teach History to todays' technologically literate students.
I chose to subscribe, not follow:
CMU Teaching and Technology Review
Cool Cat Teacher Blog
Free Technology for Teachers
2¢ Worth and
Tom Daccord
I chose these sites because they all describe how they use technology to effectively teach history--which is what I want to do!
So far, the Cool Cat Teacher blog seems to be my favorite. I think this is because he sounds so excited about teaching and using technological tools to teach history in a way that today's kids will appreciate and connect to.
